Got HART? Basketballs Made in Australia

The HART Neon Basketball was better than expected. HART Sport & Leisure is an Australian owned business that launched selling all kinds of sporting products to schools across Queensland, Australia.

Now they are offering their range of sporting equipment to the rest of the world.

We found their brand when we visited Treasure Island Resort in Biggera Waters on the Gold Coast Queensland.

FINDING HART

We stayed 4 nights in this campground to trial out the resorts full court basketball park. Once we arrived, we saw that the resort had supplied its own basketballs for guests to use.

As a basketball reviewer I was curious as to what type of cheap rubber ball they were suppling their guests with.

To my surprise I discovered they were using a brand I had not heard of before and it was actually pretty good!

Digging a little deeper I discovered their entire range, and they have a ton of different basketballs to choose from.

DIGGING FOR TREASURE

Treasure Island supplied us with Hart’s Neon Basketball. As it was a basketball used daily at a resort, these basketballs were left out in the weather. Even after being beat up for who knows how long, I really enjoyed hooping with this ball.

It was even better then some well know brands we have tried that are priced a lot higher.

The rubber felt tough and thick. The bounce was very good and easy to control. The pebbling was a basic pebble construction, but they had lasted which made dribbling very easy. It did not feel smooth or worn out.

The seams looked to be non-functional and painted on. I do not know how old this basketball was by the time I got to play with it, but the painted-on seams were really wearing away! So, it must have been there quite some time.

START WITH A HART

Overall, I would 100% recommend the Hart brand. They are super well priced with quality outdoor rubber basketballs. Especially for beginners and parents trying their best to find the right ball for a good price.

It was very surprising to discover just how good it was!

THE WHOLE HART OPERATION

HART Sport has been producing goods in their Brisbane Factory supplying Australians with quality sports gear.

What we discovered later was not only was Hart a decent brand for your budget range basketballs, but they are also "Made in Australia".

We are now keen to see what their other basketballs are like.

HAPPY HART HOOPING

HART Coaching Basketballs

Created as a training aid which feature hands printed on the ball for placement. We would love to try this out to see if this idea works at all.

HART Oversize Basketball

Designed to make the hoop feel bigger so that when you return to a normal size 7 basketball you should have improved your shooting accuracy.

Interestingly enough this oversized ball still weighs the same as a regulation size 7 ball.

HART Weighted Basketball

This basketball is double the weight of a normal ball weighing in at 1Kilo. Designed to help you increase strength in your forearms, wrists and fingers.

HART Street Basketball

Created as a hard-wearing, rubber street basketball. Designed to last as a basic outdoor ball option. This is also the cheapest in their series.

HART Club Rubber Basketball

Designed for heavy duty recreational play. Ideal for schools and sports centres. This one comes with “pro grip” to give the ball the best possible chance to survive all kinds of outdoor use and we guess it can survive school children.

HART FAT Basketball

The funniest idea I have seen so far. Created with extra wide pebble channels to provide additional grip and easier ball handling. It has 15mm wide, pebble finish channel. Although humours we are super keen to test this out and see what it’s all about.

HART Ultra Plus Pro16 Basketball

Created as their best basketball using synthetic leather. This basketball is patented with a 16-panel design and patented pebble channels. Made with high performance micro-fibre composite materials combined with an excellent finish to give this ball magnificent feel, bounce, and grip.

HART School Rubber Basketball

Like a big yellow school bus the bright yellow colour is labelled with "THIS IS A SCHOOL BALL".

Designed specifically for schools. Good idea!

  • Durable super nylon wound rubber ball.

  • Three ply 100% butyl bladder will stand up to the most rigorous use.

  • Excellent Pro Grip cover.

HART School Rubber Basketball looks like fun and would be our ball of choice when we visit the basketball courts in school grounds.

We compared the Wilson DRV ball to the HART Neon Basketball. Read more about the DRV ball next. Wilson DRV Series Basketball’s. How good can they really get?
